For every iota of how much I like Die Reise, I equally dislike La Stazione. Die Reise is ever shifting, moving, even climactic at points, while still retaining that familiarity for the human mind. It gives you the fucking “hero’s journey” as field recordings, that’s all I could ever hope for from this type of project. But then La Stazione comes in and gives you the wholly opposite of that!
