At once telegenic and slightly tongue in cheek, the Montreal composer’s ersatz chamber music is proof that you can love something and poke fun at it at the same time.

d’Eon’s brand of digital orchestration here doesn’t do much for me - it feels very medieval in a modern context, like it would be in a TV Show or video game. It’s one of those projects I don’t have context on and even if I did I couldn’t see myself enjoying it any more. Feels like an OST not tied to any other piece of media
My heart races. It's magnificent. d'Eon offers a truly special musical experience. Masterpiece for me.
