couple of lackluster tracks, a few that didn’t fit my fancy, but majority of what’s on display here is consistently very bright, fun, amazing production, some fun flows, great transitions…and all in 25 min? makes this a very replayable project, with some standout playlist bangers. it flows well, so even despite tracks i wasn’t really feeling, still no skips.
i really think SOMETHING here is sure to catch your ear in some way, as it did mine! especially if you’re ... read more
damn, this was unexpectedly good. i mean, i know he made londons saviour and i loved that and all… but this was really something great! the back half was incredibly memorable, all of the interludes felt deserved, well-paced, trippy as fuck… the album was consistently creative and always felt fresh. rapping/mixing choices only threw me off once or twice and everything from jungle-affair onwards i’m personally ranking at least in the top 20 of his catalogue.
his best since her loss or FAT D, so technically his best in years!!! i only felt bored once or twice. and i like three or four tracks too. what’d i miss, whisper my name, national treasures were all cool… i’ll never listen to these again though, prolly. or the album(s) as a whole; too long and too messy-sounding for casual listens. not to hate, but i’m kinda envisioning myself skipping a pretty high % of the tracks across all 3 projects on revisits.

one standout that i cant even remember the name of. so is it even a standout? worse than iceman, better than maid of honour. sits comfortably where it belongs in the “bloated and boring” drake category, along with his last three or four solo albums. like fuckk, man where was the executive producers…? CLEARLY not in the room, telling him to just cut the best songs off these two and put them on the main album. that would’ve been a better use of the good ones here and ... read more
gotta be his worst album yet. the drake project that finally crosses the mere barrier of “bloated and boaring”, transcending to an album that no matter where you skip (and you probably will skip at some point), it only gets less memorable and less justifiable. never listening to anything on this ever again unless they’re playing it in the club, n i’d have to be coked out to even really enjoy that sexyy red track i think.
