turns out flamewall did NOT carry this album
Furthermore, this was probably the most melodic Camellia album I've heard so far, and just like Chimera Dragons, only had 3 songs i didn't like. I enjoyed it less than Blackmagik Blazing, but it did scratch a lot of itches for me the longer the album went on. All of the Speedcore sections were done the way I liked them, the album once again had back to back bangers, and once again has taught me something about my music taste. Maybe I ... read more
HELLO AGAIN
Blackmagik Blazing was yet another album like Ashed Wings where none of my favorites came in until later, but the good part about that is not only did it start at song 5, but it stretched throughout the whole album from there. At least up until NIGHTMARE † CITY. The chords in that song were beautiful, I just wish the drops were different instead of the whole Speedcore formula. WELCOME BACK
You know, I'm actually glad I sat on writing this review for so long, simply because I had the opportunity to relisten to this album multiple times over. ITS ME AGAIN
I've recently started my journey through Camellia albums after my remarkably positive experience with Chimera Dragons, and I was recommended to start Ashed Wings. Thankfully, I was able to digest it all in a single night, since it's only an hour long album. Was it good? Yeah. Did it meet my expectations? Not really. I liked the album, just not a big fan of the genres that half the album covered. To be honest, after Sswwiinnddlleerr! I was starting to lose hope since I ... read more
Maybe not my first song, but my very first Camellia album. This album is ABSOLUTELY fantastic. Having this be my first major exposure to Camellia was fantastic because now I ACTUALLY want to listen to more of his songs. I'm gonna do something I don't usually do for any of my reviews, and provide a backstory for how I ended up listening to this album in the first place. I was told to listen to U.U.F.O. first from a friend of mine, but I listened to one song and then dropped it. Some ... read more
