The way we both genuinely screamed "NO" the second we heard Fake Plastic Trees 😭
I can see the potential here, but the mix is atrocious. I felt the same way with ‘playing w/ fire’: redveil is constantly shouting over the production, and the drums are so blown-out that there were moments I genuinely wondered if my headphones were damaged. On top of that, I’m really not a fan of half the tracks playing more like interludes than full songs. It’s disappointing to see Jazz Rap treated so loosely and starting to feel like a throwaway genre in recent years.
Nigel Godrich is still an absolute BEAST of a producer. Bow Down sounded unbelievable
I would've liked this and named it possibly his best work if Momenat didn't lock me in his basement and force me to listen to this on repeat for the past 24 hours
Sounds like I'm doing a stealth mission in some old fantasy game
Momenat cookin with this one and keeping me hype for 'Give me a Momenat'

Jayden and mrk8 want me to join a vc to listen to this. They called some other guy in to listen too and I haven't seen him since... eh it's probably fine
Edit after score: I've been brainwashed
Listening to Vanisher, Horizon Scraper is like being swallowed by a stormy ocean–overwhelming yet beautiful, with waves of wonder and loneliness crashing all at once.
Ever since Quadeca’s first mind-blowing single Sisyphus back in 2021, I’ve been eagerly awaiting every project he puts out. From the ethereal From Me to You, to the gloomy I Didn’t Mean to Haunt You, to the eclectic Scrapyard, Quad never fails to impress and has yet to miss with his latest masterpiece. ... read more
Overall very good remaster even if some tracks could've used more work. I'm at least glad to see my favorite track, The Ghost of You, is even better and transitions beautifully into Jetset Life
1. Helena - OG easily
2. Give ‘Em Hell, Kid - Remaster (by far)
3. To the End - Remaster
4. You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison - Remaster
5. I’m Not Okay - Remaster (barely)
6. The Ghost of You - Remaster BY FAR
7. The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You - OG
8. Interlude - ... read more
Quick Track by Track notes
1. Behold - Started out sounding... off production-wise but picked up a bit in the later half. JID's verse is filled with clever rhyme schemes as usual and just straight SPITTIN as expected. 7/10
2. Knew Better - Weak af Yachty feature. His flow was pretty decent throughout both verses but the lyrics were... "...two twins, knock 'em down like Twin Towers" Seriously? JID was fine but I found his flow awkward at best for both his verses as well. The ... read more
