fac track: jitensha
felt nostalgic and its my first listen
fav track: Hachikō
His first full length english album that's not a cover compilation. Although the album is pretty good, I felt that it was "too westernized" and weakened his unique Japanese pop vibe that he had in his earlier projects. As much as I enjoyed it, this did not top HEHN nor LASA.
fav track: Community
To be honest, GDLU did not sound as how i expected it to be. However, as I realized that this album is JID's commitment to expand his range of musical artistry, rather than a simple development to his previous TFS, I began to love this album through my second listen.
Fav track: Ensalada
It was an album with a very calm sound. As usual, Alchemist's production was superb. However, as usual, it lacked novelty. Still, it was a good album.
The Japanese skits in albums like this sometimes give the impression of being broken English. As a Japanese person, I sometimes find them distracting, but the ones in this album sounded natural.
It was a good sequel to Alfredo.
fav track: CASPER
He skillfully transforms the legacy of music industry pioneers into new sounds with a modern twist. Each song is rich, powerful, and carefully crafted, making for an enjoyable album. The guest appearances were well-chosen and felt natural. It was the best album I heard this year. I didn't expect to hear so many better tracks than GODSTAINED, a perfect single.
fav tack: Ring Ring Ring
It was really enjoyable, perhaps Tyler is doing some experiments for his next project. Personally, this is not something that I would come back to repeatedly but still, its nice that he gave us a little surprise drop instead of having us wait for his next full-length album without a word.
I'm very anticipated for whatever "The Creator" creates next.
fav track: BLUES BLURRY
It was featured on Spotify so I decided to give it a listen. I can sense there was something she wanted to do.
fav track: Sit & Mourn
My friend, a fan of metalcore, said hiphop is not music at all its just talking fast while rhyming on beats.
Myself, a fan of hiphop, responded that metal is not music at all its just screaming while aggressively playing instruments.
We were both right and wrong.
fav track: father
This is black british music for real. No skip.
I wish that other "MUSIC" album dropped earlier this year had the quality of this album.
fav track: Summer '25
Benny the Butcher has been failing to sound interesting since Tana Talk 4, and even that album was carried by JP's Caddy tbh. Summertime Butch 2 is not bad but certainly disappointing regarding what I am expecting from Butcher.
Griselda needs a come back.
Fav track: CHAMPAIN & VACAY
Honestly, this is worse than SWAG by Justin Bieber. At least SWAG had intentions, something Justin had to offer. Meanwhile this JACKBOYS 2 shit is meaningless. Its stupid. Bunch of adults spitting random trash on boring conventional beats. Pure product of capitalism where they just wanted to make money out of effortless work. Jackboys should disband.
fav track: いきのこり●ぼくら
Beautiful. Not only the music but the poetic lyrics. Different from any other Japanese artists.
fav track: DAISIES
It was not as bad as I imagined it to be. It was more or less better than any of his recent albums.
However I feel like SWAG failed to stay consistent with its themes and messages as well as its sounds.
PS: The skits on this album made me think as if it was a Logic's album.
fav track: So Be It
Beats are catchy, verses are cool, 40min track list was never boring. Nice album, one of the bests this year.
