The title track & "Ides of March" have really good lyricism. Track 7 has a really good bridge. Overall, I found the album to be very repetitive in both the lyricism and overall sound. I also found that sometimes the switching between the different singing styles was too much, especially when it happened multiple times between songs. The overall sound of the album was almost too consistent, and I was kinda bored in the middle. Not a bad album at all, just something that wasn't ... read more
There were some really cool instrumental moments on this album. The song with Poppy was amazing, the other features were good too. The album had great consistency and good lyricism. This would probably be an amazing experience for a person who likes metal music, but I definitely am not that person. I can recognize that this album did everything it was trying to do well, but for me it was genuinely unpleasant to listen to. I could understand why someone would really like it.
This was overall a pretty good album. Great lyrics as always, a good variety of sound while still keeping the overall vibes pretty consistent. There was nothing I absolutely hated (besides that one interlude). I really liked "Cream of Wheat Naw Cream of (feat.)". Overall this was a good album, but the songs I enjoyed the most were better stand-alone in my opinion than listening to the entire album in one sitting. I really really liked “*Equip Sunglasses*,” but the rest of the album isn’t super memorable for me. I enjoy this genre and style of singing, but listenign to an entire album of it in one go usually makes it sound repetitive and everything starts blending into each other.
I really liked this album, it felt nostalgic to listen to even though I had never heard it before. There is great variety between the tracks so it doesn't sound like the same song over and over again, but still has a consistent sound. Great vocals, great production. If middle school me heard this she would've ate it up. My favorite songs were Miami and Error Operator. I also thought the live recordings on the deluxe were pretty good. There was nothing I disliked about this album, but ... read more
