My appreciation for this record has only grown with time. I listened to it when it released in 2021 and it is now my most streamed album of all time. I've changed my rating of this record over time, but it is such a consistent record that I can't give it anything less than a 100 now. I found this band from a few of their reels of them playing "mildlyinteresting". I ended up thinking their sound was really cool and decided to listen to the full project. I really enjoyed the drums throughout this project, I found them to be the most compelling part. The vocals are weak on some tracks (particularly on "Rejoice" in my opinion) and the rest of the instrumentation can be a little lackluster at points. Overall, this is a fun listen though! :D

I found this to be the most confusing release from American Football yet. There's a lot of good on this project, but it feels so distinct from their other records, even LP3, which I figured it would be the most similar to. The bulk of this project is enjoyable despite that uniqueness compared to their others releases, but it definitely took me some time to digest. I'm really happy with the direction that glaive has taken his music. He's found a way to honor his older sound while still developing in a direction that doesn't sound repetitive or overdone. Some things here are among the best tracks in both glaive and kurtains' discographies.
