Bladee - The Fool
50

The only good part about this is that Bladee moans a lot. This project is incredibly boring and ranks among the worst releases from Bladee in my opinion.

wakelee - Doghouse

I found this band from a few of their reels of them playing "mildlyinteresting". I ended up thinking their sound was really cool and decided to listen to the full project. I really enjoyed the drums throughout this project, I found them to be the most compelling part. The vocals are weak on some tracks (particularly on "Rejoice" in my opinion) and the rest of the instrumentation can be a little lackluster at points. Overall, this is a fun listen though! :D

American Football - American Football
86

I found this to be the most confusing release from American Football yet. There's a lot of good on this project, but it feels so distinct from their other records, even LP3, which I figured it would be the most similar to. The bulk of this project is enjoyable despite that uniqueness compared to their others releases, but it definitely took me some time to digest. I think the opener is one of the weakest openers from the band, but it's still quite solid. Both singles were really good, ... read more

glaive - God Save The Three
85

I'm really happy with the direction that glaive has taken his music. He's found a way to honor his older sound while still developing in a direction that doesn't sound repetitive or overdone. Some things here are among the best tracks in both glaive and kurtains' discographies.

Bladee & Mechatok - Good Luck
69

"Intro" lowkey has a beat that reminds me of TheFatRat's music and it was quite enjoyable for that nostalgic reason. The rest of the project aside from "Into One" was quite disappointing and lackluster to me. Nothing is really going on and its quite boring.

Bladee - 333
75

This is honestly one of the most Bladee sounding Bladee projects I've ever heard, in the best way. Its up there with Crest for being one of my favorites from him ever.

¥$ - VULTURES 2
25

There is truly nothing going on this entire record. Everything sounds the same and everything is lackluster.

55

I don't think this is as terrible as a lot of the reviews give it, but it's definitely not good by any means. There was not a single song that I enjoyed on this project, but there were some decent concepts, like that of "Beg Forgiveness" and "Paperwork". I imagine that I'm going to despise Vultures 2, but if it follows in the footsteps of those two songs it would be peak.

Kanye West - Donda
52

I swear the first time I listened to this it was not nearly two hours long. Everytime I revisit 'Donda' it becomes worse and worse and worse. I do not enjoy very much on this project and its bloatedness evokes something visceral in me. Also, the reference to Tame Impala on "Praise God" pissed me off. That's all, onto Vultures now :(

Kanye West - JESUS IS KING
65

This isn't the worst thing in the world, but it's definitely a lot more on the nose than any other project by Kanye. I enjoyed "Closed on Saturday" and "God Is". There were some other decent things scattered throughout as well.

KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS
80

Similarly to 'ye', I found myself enjoying this much more on a second listen. Initially I really didn't see the vision behind this project, but I really found some enjoyable parts about it this time around. I may not appreciate it in the ways that others do, but I definitely appreciate it more than I did in the past and will listen to it more as time passes.

Kanye West - ye
80

The last time I heard this project I really didn't find myself enjoying anything on it, but tracks three through seven were really enjoyable this time around! Both features from PARTYNEXTDOOR were enjoyable and "No Mistakes" is one of my favorite songs from Kanye now. Really happy I gave this another spin.

I find this album to be quite boring at times, with interesting beats and lackluster vocal performances. I don't see the vision that everyone else does, honestly I think Ye's verses and interludes ruin the potential good that could be found on a project like this.

Kanye West - Yeezus
67

This just isn't for me. I really don't like most of the beats on this project, I found the lyricism to not be great, and the overall writing of each track is lackluster and underwhelming at every point.

Palette Knife - Keyframe
83

This was a really fun listen and has many aspects of midwest emo that I absolutely love and adore.

1. Phoenix Down: 9/10
2. Sleep Paralysis: 9/10
3. Mimic: 9/10
4. Faultsiphon: 8/10
5. Honors English: 8/10
6. Prototype V.2: 8/10
7. Ratking Regicide: 7/10
8. Leviathan: 8/10
9. Limit Break: 9/10
10. ISS: 7/10

JAY-Z & Kanye West - Watch the Throne
70

This is one of the most boring and lackluster records Kanye West has ever been a part of.

Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
75

I feel like there's nothing super stellar about this project. There's a few fun tracks here and there, but nothing is definitive or innovative in any meaningful manner in my opinion. I found that almost everything here ends as it starts, causing every individual track to become boring as it sounds the same the entire way through. The only ones that broke this trend for me were "Gorgeous" and "POWER", with "Runaway" and "Dark Fantasy" being ... read more

Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak
82

This record really shocked me with how much I enjoyed it. Kanye West is at his best and most creative flow on this project, showing off talent that isn't displayed on his other records. When removing his previous limitations, his creativity and expertise comes out in full on this project.

Kanye West - Graduation
82

I find this to be the most compelling record from Kanye West. It has some of his best hits of all time and is overall the most consistently good record he has produced. The removal of the skits that he had on his previous two records makes this a much easier listen and it has a lot more personality than them as well. Overall, I think his vocals, writing, and instrumentation is at its best on 'Graduation'.

Superheaven - Jar
82

Incredibly solid alt rock record. "Hole In The Ground" is my favorite track here by a large margin, it's incredible.
