Although i haven’t very impressed with most of yeats recent work, his new EP DANGEROUS SUMMER is probably one of my favorite projects by him. Yeat has been facing some backlash lately even from his fans, many thinks hes losing his authenticity but i think he finds new ways to evolve his sound and build his artistic identity just a little more every project.

A common criticism for this album is that overall it sounds ratchet and rough, but this is actually something i came to love about Doolittle by Pixies. After a couple listens i’ve came to quite appreciate this classic. The instrumentals are harsh, wild, and at times unpredictable, which in my eyes is perfect. Clipse did certainly not disappoint. After a couple listens its safe to say album will go down as one of my favorites from the year. Lyrically this is EVERYTHING i wanted from push and malice and i think other rappers pushing 40 / 50 should take notes. The beat selection is great, but doesnt wow me as much throughout the project compared to something like hell hath no fury. Obviously the rapping performances are amazing, but a couple of the hooks and cadences are left to be desired.
