An ordinary album of this length and expansiveness would be nearly impossible to pull off in terms of execution and consistency. Sufficed to say, Vorso does a smashing job at both.

Lonely People With Power is everything that has made Deafheaven’s music appealing culminated into an ambitious beast of a project that is every bit as exciting, thrilling, and beautiful as those, but turned up to 11. I thought Sunbather would stay my favorite, but here we are.
That’s just a short summary; a full review would be way longer, but for now, I’m fully confident to name this my 2025 Album of the Year.
Winona may just be my song of the year too.
