i've never hated bbno$'s music or anything but i've also just never really paid much attention to it. i've always thought he seemed like a cool enough guy though and saw the surprisingly high rating on this so i figured i'd give it a chance. if this is a new direction for him i think it could definitely result in the best music he's made thus far. it's nothing extraordinary, but it's personal and pretty catchy and has some nice sound choices and is light ... read more
so small flex but i made the isobel aoty page last year because her first two singles were so good i just needed to rate them and make them available to discover on here, so it's really amazing to see people here now celebrating her. i've been bought in since the moment i heard laundry and i've known it was only a matter of time before everyone realized how special of a talent she is.
this is, in my opinion, her best officially released effort yet and only shows how much range ... read more
kurt cobain has always been and will always be my musical hero and this is the very first album i ever truly loved and was obsessed with as a child. a 42 minute masterclass of songwriting. i don’t believe nirvana ever released anything less than great, but this is lightning caught in a bottle that will never strike again.
there’s nothing to say about this that hasn’t been said already, but it’s truly a landmark in everything that musical expression can amount to. it’s also unexplainably impressive and tragic how long these words will seemingly remain relevant for.
my favorite rap record of all time and a listening experience that fundamentally changed the way i approached music listening since. it's near impossible to find a musical composition that is infinitely layered and infinitely entertaining simultaneously and this might be the only one to this degree. no one writes quite like DOOM and madlib was his perfect musical match. this is perfection.
i know this is listed as a reissue but i like this cover better so i'm rating this version instead. this is the best fusion there is. i can't believe i'm just hearing this now. i'm absolutely mindblown.
i hope the creative run navy blue is on right now is celebrated and shared in music history forever because the sentiments he's sharing and the reflections he puts on display here are so necessary, especially due to society's current direction. so much unique, personal, and genuinely profound messaging on here and framed in some delicate, evocative, gorgeous instrumental contexts too. would expect nothing less from sage; it's always an honor to hear what he has to say.

i listen to rage music and this is painfully short even for me, purely due to how incredibly good it is during the brief moment it's on. and, to clarify, it's not just that the project is 16 minutes, but that a lot of the ideas are so promising and creative and have much more room to grow and expand (even like just a little bit i'm not asking for a 15 minute epic) and then they just end. i don't mean to harp on this, but that's really the only major issue here. this ... read more
i love when i can just hear that a masterpiece is in someone's future. this was fun to listen to while it was on and i really enjoyed hearing such a creative and authentic blend of sounds and influences, especially built around a clearly personal context, but i honestly walked away thinking about the potential for the future more than anything. this is such a bold and technically impressive release in general, but for someone his age in particular. and i don’t generally like to lean ... read more
not many ratings, but the score is egregiously low in my opinion. to me, this is a much more suitable sound for 4cf than anything he's attempted previously and an indication of something much greater in his future. i get that a lot of the sounds and blends are unique, but that's a lot of what i love about it. and it's always a good sign when there's a lot of experimentation and ideas presented in a more homespun form and most of them land and even stand on their own as ... read more
don’t let the band’s unique background circumstances (which i find really cool anyway) dissuade you; this is some of the best j-rock i’ve ever heard and honestly up there with some of the best alternative rock in general i’ve heard in a long time. melodically, vocally, and instrumentally this is so consistently exciting and creative. every track shines individually and contributes something unique to the group, forming a sonically cohesive and endlessly replayable final ... read more
one of the most promising young talents in music, period. since discovering his music in april of this year, i've spent the latter half of 2025 on somewhat of an ever-evolving deep dive into bunii, his many musical forays, and various avenues of releasing them to the world. and i can say now, as the year comes to an end, that he is my favorite discovery that i made in 2025 and that, the more i discover, the more apparent his infinite potential becomes. there's clear room to grow here, ... read more
i get the appeal, but literally none of the ideas work for me, especially melodically. it also doesn't help that they cling so closely to this faux-quirky, actually obnoxious vocal approach to present them all with. sadly, this all results in some of the most annoying music i've heard in a while.
i genuinely believe torr is making some of the best pop music in the world right now and the experiments here mostly land, too. i wish some of the ideas as well as the album's overall concept were a little bit more fleshed out; i do feel like there's a bit more to say by the time i finish each listen, but what's here is consistent quality with a sweet sound and a lot to offer when you peel back the layers.
some nice textures, guitar tones, and other musical ideas, but doesn't do enough at really any point to keep any of those ideas interesting for as long as the given runtime ends up being. gets a bit boring and monotonous at times. lots of potential in the sound for sure, but largely not delivered for me unfortunately.
