The grooviest and most surreal album from the grooviest and most surreal band to ever grace this planet. An album that doesn't overstay it's welcome, it's short, sweet, and utterly unforgettable. Crosseyed and Painless is an incredibly funky song and Once in a lifetime is literally perfect. While I think the short length of the album is a plus point it also does prevent me from rating it higher though, as there's not enough material to rate it that high compared to albums ... read more
Demon days may be the definitive gorillaz album but i still think as a record plastic beach is the better one by a smidge. Probably the best electropop album ever made, Damon Albarn delivers some of the smoothest vocals I've ever listened to as 2D here and the features here are all top notch. Sweepstakes and Glitter Freeze are really the only songs I'd call mediocre here. Rhinestone eyez, Broken and Empire ants are masterpieces that I'd easily call among the best in ... read more
Shoegaze really isn't my genre at all, but even I can tell this album perfects the genre. Flash Back, 0217 and Choco-Mint Flavour are some of the most enchanting songs I've ever listened to, and I can see why people who are into shoegaze call this one of the greatest albums of all time. With some of the most gorgeous Miku tuning I've ever heard and instrumentals that make you feel like you're ascending. This is a perfect album from front to back.
Arguably the best Vocaloid album. At least in terms of production. Kaii Yuki's tuning is phenomenal as is standard for Inabakumori, and the instrumentals for these songs manage to be enchanting, with some of the catchiest choruses I've ever listened to. Besides a few slightly forgettable entries towards the end of the album this is an almost perfect record. Haru no Sekibaku, Lagtrain and Rainy boots practically perfect the nostalgic feel this album elicits, and Radar is an extremely ... read more
An album with one of the strongest first halves I've ever seen, and would easily set the grounds for arguably the greatest rock and vocaloid albums of all time, if it wasn't held back by a rather forgettable latter half. Songs 7-13 aren't bad per se they're just... Okay.
As a whole. A good rock album with about the expected lyrics and theming from a neru album, that being optimistic nhilism at its best. Neru is one of my favourite voca producers for a good reason and this ... read more
It's TPAB.
Ok no but seriously. A master class in lyricism with some of the strongest messaging in any album I've ever seen. Kendrick's flows in this album are magical and songs like Alright, U and I will have you feeling things deep in your heart. With some of the best producing in any rap album I've ever seen and some iconic features you'll be hard pressed to forget this experience. The poem that builds up throughout the album leading into the conclusion being the ... read more
Definitely one of Karen's best projects, her smoother songs have always been among my favourites and this album is filled with them! Wannabe is a more typical DDK rap track but it's lyricism is unique and makes it stand out from other tracks from American saikoro or The red white and black, although it's certianly not a song for everyone. Legendary stray unfortunately is a big miss and astronaut is an otherwise solid song that's unfortunately ruined by one of the worst ... read more
This album has possibly the greatest production I've ever seen. The storytelling is top notch, Tyler's vocals are something else, the features are spaced out but fantastic, what's not to love about it? Frankly I cannot make up a single critique about this album. Flawless. A magical experience with good headphones on. It's my favourite album of all time for a reason
A boy is a gun* and NEW MAGIC WAND are my personal favourites from this album. One is one of the most well ... read more
