As much as some of these songs dont come across as insane, they are filled with this spirit of creativity and collaboration that is infectious. You can tell, even on the more simple and short songs, that it was put together with a lot of care, and that translates very well when listening. ok hear me out, it's a lil like illmatic. LET ME COOK HOLLUP. Illmatic is so great because of how its instrumentals are enjoyable, but also purposefully non-distracting to let the brilliance of Nas' rap shine.
