Funnily enough, I didn’t like this album on my first listen. A few months later, after the tour started, I gave it another try. That day I made the best decision of my life! This is the album that got me into Beyonce and I’m proud to say I am in the hive. 11/10, no notes. Can’t wait for act 3!

I was introduced to Willow from empathogen and immediately fell in love. I was surprised to see that she made a major shift in sound on that album after listening to her previous works. This one didn’t hit the same as empathogen but I think that’s alright. I’m glad to see she’s continuing to experiment with her sound! “Jilly from Philly I love you boo…” is all I can really say about this album. Admittedly, that statement was hyperbolic. This album was such a beautiful comeback for Jill. My words cannot describe the amount of black love and pride and joy that I get from this body of work. I don’t have to say it because it’s already tagged but this album is an absolute must listen.
