At 15:03 of the last track, after hours of thick noise, we get a sudden, beautiful, sorrowful release. The suffering comes to a haunting end.

The Caretaker - Everywhere at the End of Time: Stage 4

Up until this point, there were calm, beautiful moments mixed with the uncanniness. It ends here, making the listener anxious and confused.

This is where it all begins to slowly collapse. As we approach the end of this stage, we get less and less of the clear instrumentals and more ambience. More noise, the melodies and rhythms are scrambled up (though they're still recognizable), digital glitches appear, all of this creating an uncanny feeling.

Stage 2 already contains less of the original recordings, and more manipulation, resulting in a much more ambient sound than Stage 1. The sound of a water sprinkler can be heard in some of the tracks, maintaining some sort of a connection to reality.
