Radiohead - OK Computer

A perfect album in every sense of the word.

Takes you on a journey from start to finish, from the highs of paranoid android, the insane climax of exit music to the gentle melancholy lullaby of no surprises.
If you say this album is overrated I have no respect for you.
This album was the album that got me into all other forms of rock, the Beatles, pink Floyd etc.

If you haven’t listened yet I envy the first time experience.

Kanye West - ye
90

This album although only 7 tracks has a wide range of music.

From a surreal opener to unhinged verses on Yikes and All Mine all the way to incredible highs of Ghost Town and No Mistakes.
Violent Crimes is a beautiful final track about KanYe’s fatherly concern, an emotional listen.

I’ll keep this conclusion as brief as the album itself, another step in KanYe’s career and it sounded great.

The Life of Pablo was showcasing a new KanYe.

Slightly more unhinged, more responsibility as a father and real expectation as a seasoned veteran and giant in mainstream music.

Not much to say about this album, it starts off strong tapers only slightly in the middle too many interludes/skits in my opinion but he brings it back strong with the best rapping of his career on no more parties in LA and Saint Pablo.

Kanye West - Yeezus
100

Yeezus just rose again.

To be honest, when I first listened to this album I thought it was awful, I hated the harsh and abrasive sound of the album, the only track I enjoyed was Bound 2…

But trust me if you can give it a second/third listen or replay a few of the tracks the initial “harshness” wears off and I was left stunned. It slowly began to make sense and what was left is the most consistent-high quality album full of bangers.

In my opinion it is KanYe’s ... read more

Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
95

MBDTF is a clear production masterpiece

It boasts one of the greatest feature lists on any rap album and effectively “won” the luxurious sexual rap era of the late 2000s and early 2010s. It is by far KanYe’s most ambitious work up until this point and I can see why it is to some his Magnus Opus.

In conclusion the album is a must listen for any rap/music fan but yes runaway is overrated and DIAND is better.

Kanye West - Graduation
85

Yeah okay we get it it’s a “classic” I love Kanye’s discography as much as the next fan but this simply isn’t his best.

This album feels much more like KanYe settling into a more comfortable pop-rap genre which isn’t inherently a bad thing but it doesn’t have the exact same charm as the 2 prior projects.

Overall it’s a great album, it has the first KanYe song I ever heard-I Wonder-and other catchy/iconic songs like flashing lights, homecoming, ... read more

Kanye West - Late Registration
94

Late Registration is sadly a middle child to the timeless College Dropout and the wildly chart successful Graduation.

Despite this Late Registration definitely deserves a place in the Hip-Hop hall of fame nonetheless. KanYe’s signature sample rapping progresses as we get another look at his performances most notably on tracks like Diamonds and We Major.

Overall a consistent album upholding KanYe’s quality from his debut.

Kanye West - The College Dropout
100

The College Dropout can be described in one word, timeless.

The debut album from the infamous KanYe West fuses chipmunk sampling with witty and semi-conscious rapping that boasts an impressive feature list.

The album is long but doesn’t feel bloated as every track offers something new pushing the album forward. The final track last call is a long but entertaining conclusion that ties up the album well.

It’s hard to say but standout tracks for me are family business, two words ... read more

Kanye West - BULLY

Some of the highs on this album feel like Kanye’s actually putting effort into his albums again.

Miles beyond the vultures era.

Although some of the tracks like “circles” sound like they need refining or just re-doing entirely, this album is worth a listen.
