Julia Jacklin - Crushing
80

While I like her sensitivity and the way she eases you into her world with her songs, I love when she gets a bit more aggressive (Pressure to Party), and I think it would be a great avenue to explore for the next albums. Her songwriting gained some maturity since "Don't Let the Kids Win", making "Crushing" even more easy and fun to listen to.

HOMESHAKE - Helium

As a HOMESHAKE fan, I am not enchanted with this album, nor I am disappointed. I think he stayed true to himself while exploring some new textures (cf. his recent NTS mixes). However, it lacks the "groove" that has made me pay for his concert tickets throughout the years.

Ariana Grande - thank u, next

While it has some bold moments, "Thank u, next" is rather flat. We feel the raw emotions have left her, while fame and flex culture have taken over. This album feels numb at times and I think itdoesn't have the spark that made "Sweetener" stand out.
