Thought not System of a Down at its best - especially as the band was on some of its last legs as we now know - it still provides a lot of raw emotion and subverting expectations. While its partner album Mezmerize is a more consistent experience, Hypnotize has the higher highs, so to speak.

Just a really comforting and pleasant listen, instrumentation and vocals build an intimate environment with some really interesting lyrics and Clairo’s signature penchant for strong hooks. The album’s sound throughout doesn’t differentiate a lot of the songs all that much, but the quality on the album throughout makes it still be a great listening experience. Very strong album follow-up to Sling.
