This was easily the album I was the most excited for this year, and Lorde didn't dissapoint.
In Virgin, Lorde explores a rebirth, identity and sound-wise, which connected a lot with me. I think there are some moments where the experimentation she goes for in this work needs a bit of more improvement, but overall, I believe this was a step on the right direction.

I love Marina but I just don't see it, sorry. I can't listen to this album without waiting for the tik tok hooks and the nonsensical lyricism. I really liked ADIAML and I feel this as a regression instead of a step forward. Some songs are enjoyable tho.

My first Perfume Genius album ever.
I've constantly been recommended this artist and I can see why, the visuals you get from the sounds and lyrics are surreal and all hit a sweet spot I have for art-pop like this. Such an unique perspective.
