It's a decent project, however, I feel it lacks originality and authenticity. We can clearly see how some of the songs are inspired by artists like Ariana Grande (quite noticeably in this case), Taylor Swift, or Billie Eilish (to a lesser extent). I consider it a step backward in her artistic evolution compared to her previous albums, and it has disappointed me somewhat. Even so, there are some worthwhile tracks like "bittersweet" and "yes baby," but overall, it remains ... read more
A quality Christmas album, well-made. From my point of view, there's a clear evolution compared to her album from 26 years ago, "My Kind of Christmas." We see a mature Christina, who knows exactly what she wants and controls every nuance of the songs. If I had to find any fault, it would be that she sometimes overdoes her vocal prowess, but we already know that's one of her trademarks. Well-produced and with very well-chosen collaborations, "Ave Maria" with Yseult ... read more
A rather complicated album, it features many fusions of different genres. I must say that I find Joost quite scattered and a bit lost regarding the project he wants to achieve. There are sounds I find good and enriching, such as in the songs "Klikobak" and "Zonder Jou," while others, like "Farmcore" and "Joost Klein 5," shouldn't have even left a studio demo. It's a risky album that I don't think quite succeeds. The production is ... read more
A fun and enjoyable song that showcases the essence of the group, songs with no other pretensions than to cheer up the listener and make them dance. It's nothing innovative, but I think it fulfills what the song is supposed to do.
A rather weak attempt at pop-rock, very mediocre production, the chorus sounds somewhat interesting but the verses are totally forgettable, an average debut song from a contest that won't go very far.
Another ballad-like song, trying to sound sad but failing to move the listener. Something very tired and repetitive.
