Sling feels far lighter than Charm, but its still gorgeous in both the vocal and instrumental department.

Just like the cover, this album sometimes sounds like its underwater (in a good way). Drunk is consistently good all the way through and Thundercat’s signature style really shines through.

Super busy sounding album. There’s so much happening all at once and is a pretty solid rage/digicore album. One thing I would say is that the middle section isn’t as engaging as the front and back end of the album. Still a pretty fun listen.

not only is the vocal performance from Quadeca so passionate and powerful, the strings and piano make it one of the best things ever. there is genuinely not a single thing I dislike about this song, I wish it would play forever.

Those first five songs are absolutely ELECTRIC, its actually insane. The atmosphere, buildups, and vocals on this album are all so beautiful.

The production on this thing is pretty incredible, and it kind of reminds me of a Tyler project. In fact, this whole project reminds me of a Tyler project with the heavy synths and chaotic delivery.

Oleka might be the english Ichiko Aoba, at least in terms of her voice. Her voice is genuinely one of the most calming things I have heard in a while. That combined with the way the tracks build up and releases is amazing.

This album has high highs and semi-low lows. After hearing the singles leading into this album, I was excited for this release, and although it was not all that I was hoping for, it is still a solid project. With catchy hooks, solid vocals, and tons of production variety, I would say most of the songs here are pretty good. Runs a little bit long but shows a whole ton of growth from when I first listened to him. He sounds much more mature in his songwriting and his styles of singer-songwriter and electropop manage to blend together pretty well.

Are the lyrics corny? Yes. Does it still sound pretty fun? Also yes.

This album goes from sounding like something from the circus to sounding like a computer dying to being absolutely peak and I don’t understand it.

These guys are really about to drop back to back classics 🥹
