After 8 years of waiting, I can't help but feel a little underwhelmed. I don't know what I was expecting, but this album kind of took itself all over the place instead of just meeting on one aspect to really do well. I feel like that was a strong suit of some of Rocky's earlier albums, and some more focus on this could definitely go a long way. I understand he was trying to do some "alter ego" type of thing, but it just doesn't come across as clearly as it should, ... read more

I just found these guys while looking at the new releases on the AOTY homepage and they are blowing me away. The female singer's voice has a sweet, but heavy quality to it. Every word she says has a weight behind it, and you can really feel the emotion in her performance. Meanwhile, the guy's voice is much moodier, and combines with the girls voice really well. Just like the cover, this album sometimes sounds like its underwater (in a good way). Drunk is consistently good all the way through and Thundercat’s signature style really shines through.
Super busy sounding album. There’s so much happening all at once and is a pretty solid rage/digicore album. One thing I would say is that the middle section isn’t as engaging as the front and back end of the album. Still a pretty fun listen.
this is becoming one of my favorite songs so quickly its insane.
not only is the vocal performance from Quadeca so passionate and powerful, the strings and piano make it one of the best things ever. there is genuinely not a single thing I dislike about this song, I wish it would play forever.
Someone tell them to stop dropping peak, my ears can’t handle anymore 🥹

This album has high highs and semi-low lows. After hearing the singles leading into this album, I was excited for this release, and although it was not all that I was hoping for, it is still a solid project. With catchy hooks, solid vocals, and tons of production variety, I would say most of the songs here are pretty good. However, some of the songs just lack any interest or just don’t fit in with the overall vibe. For example, the opening track memento starts with this heavy bass ... read more
Are the lyrics corny? Yes. Does it still sound pretty fun? Also yes.
These guys are really about to drop back to back classics 🥹
