What a great album. I'm a total sucker for narrative music, and this is an awesome concept album with an awesome story that's complex enough for you to think about it a little but not complex to the point that the music can't explain it. Devil's Choir may be my favorite song of all time, and Shadow's Die is so peak it was damn near the only thing I listened to for weeks.
Incredible album with some great high-energy songs and some lower-energy songs, but the hype never really pauses in this album. Has BVB's stark vibe to the max.
The foundation of a distinctive sound that BVB still has today. Funnily enough, I think the worst song on this album is the most popular one, Knives and Pens. Everything else is great. Some songs are a little too similar; if you've heard Heaven's Calling, you've heard Beautiful Remains. Good for a debut.
A good album with a pretty equal amount of good songs and mid songs. There's really nothing special to say about it; whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you.
Funnily enough, I discovered this band because my history teacher was in their music video. This album has one song that's genuinely good, and it's the first track. All of the lyrics seem like someone looked up "cool meaningful song lyrics" and stole the first results they found off Google. The song structure is total ass for most of them. Some songs have good parts but suck for everything that's not the chorus. Not really an album I think highly of; don't bother listening past Who ... read more
Sleeping with Sirens totally nailed the underwater vibe they were going for. This album feels floaty and has a vibe that makes it perfect for listening on a gorgeous clear night. The songs are great too. There are one or two songs I tend to skip, but the rest of them are great.
Some songs are good. Some songs are just bad enough to not want to listen to when they come up on shuffle. Unfortunately, the just bad enough ones outweigh the good songs. The good songs are great though.
Good album. Angry as hell. Nothing special to point out but nothing particularly bad to point out.
Lots of floaty reverb energy going on here. Some songs are better than others. Overall a solid listen.
As expected of a debut album, this is weaker than Pierce the Veil's other works. There's just some stuff that's not clicking. Not a bad listen though.
Not seeing the issues others are seeing with this album. Sounds great with danceable fun high-energy tracks mixed with more somber pretty songs. Can't say it's my favorite from Pierce the Veil though.
Incredible album with some incredible heavier tracks with the more somber tracks being totally gorgeous. A classic.
What an incredible album. Everything is very solid and good, with a nice little mix of more high-energy stuff and slower, more meaningful songs.
Great additions to TBP. All of the songs are catchy and good, but I feel Kill All Your Friends is one of the best songs I've ever heard. It makes up for Heaven Help Us' lacking parts.
Peak FOB if IOH wasn't there. Cannot get tired of this album. There is a beauty to some of the songs that I'm kind of obsessed with. Perfect for every situation.
This album is always great to listen to with incredible music and vocals. I've moved past some of the music in this genre but I can't get sick of this.
