Compact album with a solid throughline of semi melancholy of adulthood in the digital age? You had me there. On top of that to fill it with synths and samples? Amazing.
Standouts (although the record has no skips) have to be,
Runner,
On and On,
End of Beginning,
Change,
Go for it,
And Slither.
The true melancholy of your early adulthood is captured perfectly in this short but beautiful mixtape. Pinkpantheress speaks candidly and bluntly about the struggles of her early adulthood life with using her incredible producing style to make her debut feel cohesive from each song to the other.
Standouts? Every song.
Maybe one of the best albums all time. The production by Ethan Gruska gives the album the exact feeling it needs at every single point it’s important. I’ve listened to this record probably a hundred times now, and it hasn’t gotten old yet, there’s always something new to find, whether it be lyrics and their meanings, or new instruments I hadn’t focused on before.
Stand outs have to be,
Scott Street
Smoke Signals
and Motion Sickness.
