Hard for me to really explain my true feelings behind this. I consider myself a pretty average Imagine Dragons fan. I'm not their biggest defender from the avalanche of hate they get like AJR does, but I've heard three of their albums so far, "Night Visions", one I need to fully relisten to sometime, and "Origins", which I personally find to be a bit of a hidden gem in all honesty. .....This is genuinely one of the best albums I've ever heard.
I didn't think Billie could top "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO", but, uhh...yea, this album is amazing. It's so beautiful, deep, and emotional. Each song on here is such a gorgeous listen, and is easily the best album of this year so far that I've heard. It's no question.
Favorite Tracks - CHIHIRO, WILDFLOWER, L'AMOUR DE MA VIE, BLUE
Least Favorite Track -
It walks that thin line of "really good album", but it's got just a few too many meh tracks in there that prevents it from being any higher of a rating for me personally. Some songs are really good, but others are either ok, or just kind of bland.
Favorite Tracks - Walking The Wire, Whatever It Takes, Believer
Least Favorite Track - Thunder, Dancing In The Dark
A wise man named Rivers Cuomo once got into the studio, picked his guitar up, sung the outstanding lyrics of, "What's with these homies dissing my girl?", recorded it, and put it on his masterpiece of an album with his band. I would rate this a 100, but I sadly cannot judge an album based on one amazing thing...
The album is pretty good, is what I'm trying to say.
