Self - Subliminal Plastic Motives
95

I've decided to review a Self album as they have become a new top 5 artist of mine recently. And this album is the one that I keep relistening to the most out of all.
I'm not saying that the other albums aren't as good, but Subliminal Plastic Motives has so many bangers. "Borateen", "So Low" and "Marathon Shirt" are some of the band's best songs in my opinion. The reason that I like this album so much might be because of the more alt-rock/grunge ... read more

The Flaming Lips - Zaireeka
90

The Flaming Lips have been one of my favourite bands as of recent, so I thought I'd review one of their albums. And this one is really weird. In case you know nothing about this album, the band made this album spread across 4 CDs, with each CD containing different parts of each song. When synchronised correctly, this would sound incredible. Although I can't speak for myself because I don't have 4 CD players, 4 phones with Apple Music, or 3 other friends, so I had to look for a ... read more

Will Wood - The Normal Album
99

peak music
I love The Normal Album! It might be one of my favourite albums now, actually. I like the wacky, weird music mixed with Will's voice. Also I find it funny how he just turns into a metal vocalist at some points. "Suburbia Overture" is the opener, and probably my favourite song from this album. I also loved "I/Me/Myself" and "Love, Me Normally". Most of the songs are just great stuff I can vibe to.
Check this out if you want. It's not for ... read more

System of a Down - System of a Down
91

I'm just gonna be quick with this one, I might edit this to add more. I like this album! I do think this is the band's weakest album, but I'm still giving this an 87 (edit: 91 now). Shows how good of a band they are. "War?" is my favourite, along with "Know", "Spiders" and "Sugar". All classics. I'm not the biggest fan of "Mind" as I think it drags on too long, and it doesn't fully bounce back until "Darts" but ... read more

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
54

I have mixed feelings about this album. It's highs are pretty high. "Stan" is probably my favourite here. It hits hard, especially the final few lines where Eminem realises it's too late to prevent Stan from going crazy and ending his own life. "The Real Slim Shady" is the one from this album everyone knows, and I can say it's quite good. "The Way I Am" and "Remember Me?" are pretty good too, but that's about it. And there are 12 other ... read more

Primus - Frizzle Fry
97

Decided to check out Primus for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by this.
The best way I can describe Frizzle Fry is "goofy 1990's funk metal". In case you think that sounds unappealing, trust me, it's really good. This is a near perfect album in my opinion. Every song is covered in Les Claypool's incredible singing and bass playing. My favourite is likely "To Defy the Laws of Tradition". It fucking bangs. But it's honestly hard to choose a ... read more

The Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat
82

Honestly, I used to think this album wasn't as good as I now think of it.
White Light/White Heat is what I like to call Velvet Underground's noisy album. And that's what it is. And I used to think it was good but not that good. But now I really like it! Some of these are what I'd put among some of my favourite Velvet Underground songs, like "White Light/White Heat" and "Lady Godiva's Operation" which I always loved. "The Gift" is an ... read more

Yes - Close to the Edge
100

I fucking love this album.
Close to the Edge is a masterpiece. In my eyes it's an album with almost no flaws. Yes, the songs are extremely long, but they're all incredible in every way. Going through the songs this album has to offer, "Close to the Edge" is probably my favourite. It's 19 minutes of pure bliss. So are the other tracks, but all 3 are some of my favourite songs of all time.
Once you're finished reading this, go listen to this album. Right now. You are ... read more

Yes - Fragile
87

This album's pretty solid! Not a top-tier listen back-to-back but still great.
"Roundabout" is mostly known as the funny meme song the internet turned it into, but it's still a great listen. Flawless song. The longer listens her e are some great stuff too. "South Side of the Sky" and "Heart of the Sunrise" are both incredible songs that everyone should listen to. I also like "Long Distance Runaround" despite being shorter than some of the ... read more

The Beatles - The Beatles
99

First Beatles review! Might as well do the White Album while it's still fresh in my mind.
This album's awesome. Although with 30 tracks and 90+ minutes of album on our hands I don't know if I'll be able to cover everything this has to offer. Where do I start?
Firstly, the White Album has some of the Beatles most iconic songs, like "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "Blackbird" which are both classics. The former also shows some of the best in ... read more

Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet
41

Yeah, no. This doesn't do it for me.
I did try to give this album a chance but I can't get behind it. It's far from my type of music. There are some decent songs on this but overall it's shit. And there are too many sex references in this. I am a teenager of the male gender and have the same humour as one, but they're done so excessively to the point where it heavily hinders my enjoyment for this thing.
SHIT FROM A BUM

I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect it to be as good as it turned to be.
Mother’s Milk is the first Chili Peppers album with their classic lineup of Anthony, John, Flea and Chad. And it’s really good! Not my favourite Chili Peppers album but I’m still just starting to get into them. It has more heavy instrumentals and leans more towards funk. (Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong about this stuff, I am by no means a professional lol)
“Knock Me Down” ... read more

Green Day - Dookie
94

lol they named it after poop
Anyways, Dookie is amazing. All the songs on here are at the very least decent. "Longview" is my personal favourite from this album. It's a perfect Green Day song. And the bassline is fucking FIRE. "Basket Case" is a song I've listened to a bit too much before, which is why I don't usually come back to it. But I can't deny it's a great song. "When I Come Around" and "She" are great songs I never grow ... read more

Pink Floyd - The Wall
100

This album is fucking incredible. My favourite Pink Floyd album and likely favourite of all time. I love how the songs, despite quite a few having very different vibes from other songs, are all connected well and work to tell a great story. "Another Brick In The Wall - Part 2" is the big single from this album, and even though it's been overplayed to death, it still rocks. "Mother" is a great acoustic guitar-centred tune that is mostly pretty mellow and nice, even ... read more
