This album feels like prime Kanye forgot how to compose a song, and developed severe ADHD. The skeleton of a really good album is here, but dotted with out of place misses, almost every track is too short/feels like an interlude. Tracks literally don't have verses and aren't mixed properly. What is going on ye?????
This album starts off really well, the sample intro for king is really good and feels like an energetic introduction Yeezy on this album. Its good a really quality intro. ... read more
This is a really nice direction from Jack, but I kinda hope that It progresses into him using this sound for future Hip-Hop records. While him and his producers executed the sound really well it doesn't speak to the ability to progress further from here mainly because of his vocals, these instrumentals are really special though. These sounds and his rapping ability crafted into a Jazz-Rap, and RnB inspired album could be really something, i especially hear a lot of 2014 Forest Hills Drive ... read more
This is one of those albums that is only gonna get the love it deserves in 10 years...
One of the best albums of all time, absolutely love the sound that Denzel brings to this record, almost every song is perfect, the production perfectly complements his rapping style, no one else on the planet could make this record sound better. Revisiting this LP is always a treat, and I hope Curry revisits this sound later in his career.
Glad this came out, if Mac was here to perfect this album, then maybe it would be one of his best. Funny Papers is one of the best songs in his entire catalogue, and is accompanied by some beautiful tracks with lush production and writing, like Stoned, Ricks Piano and Dj's Chord Organ. I am very glad this is out, and I would not want it to be any different. The things I dislike about this record have nothing to do with Mac or his estate who released the record. I know for a fact if he were ... read more
Some incredible sounds in this project, RIng Ring Ring, and Don't You Worry Baby are some of the best music released this year, and its been an amazing year. Wish he took out the Mommanem thing, or at least combined it into SPWM, I dont get how this is only a 78 user score but almost every song is rated a 83+ 😠This sound easily can be the best of Tylers career if he perfects it in the future, I personally love it so much.
Revisiting this album just before GDLU comes out:
Still a masterpiece, and somehow I think this has grown on me from the love I already have for it. The few songs I had issues with have already gotten better, and this was already one of the best albums of the decade. I think at least for me personally, this has aged from a top 10 album of the decade to at least top 5. Cannot wait for the new album, bit iffy on the single he put out, but I trust him with the rest of the album.

One of the best debuts of the decade, what Vaughn has done on this record is special. In his short tenure with TDE he has already cemented himself as one of the best upcoming rappers alive, with this album showing an already developed sound riddled with potential. He has touches of incredible artists, lyrics akin to a young Kendrick, flow of Denzel Curry, and R&B cuts that sound like Smino. Lots of variety, and really fucking good. Flat Shasta is an achievement to have a song of this ... read more
This is one of the best albums of the decade easily for me. As someone who is not too familiar with Clipse's earlier work this is the first time I have been blown away when listening to the duo. Incredible production from Pharrell deep into his career, and verses from Push and Malice that I didn't know could be as good as they are. I think a lot has been said about this album and I don't want to repeat it too much, but I want to say that The Birds Don't Sing is a ... read more
Amazing stuff from Simz, after releasing SIMBI it felt that none of her work after would hold a candle to her 2021 masterpiece, but this beautiful album holds its own. Simz's writing on this album is flawless, beautiful lyrics about family, her friends, emotions are thrown against a beautiful soundtrack in her first album without her producer Inflo. While he is a horrible person, his musical talent will be missed, seeing as he helped create some absolute classics. Simz fights back though, ... read more
Some of Mckinley's most beautiful tracks are on this album, Run, Run, Run, Live! from the Kitchen Table, Sun I Rise, and Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!? are all incredible, some of the best music Ive heard in a long time. These tracks are sadly broken up by songs that sound out of place on the album, Mezzanine Tippin', and Tyler, Forever. These tracks break the albums run of beautiful sounding beats and sadly take away from what could have been a top 10 album of the decade. These songs are ... read more
What an incredible album from this man, ts is unbelievable bro. It took me probably 20 listens to realise that I can't get sick of it, incredible must listen, if this isn't his Magnum Opus, then Im scared for the rest of the music industry.
great album, amazing beat selection across the board, mainly due to this practically being a conductor williams production, which I am all for. Probably Gunn's best selection of features, the standouts being Talib and Mos Def on Peppas, but Rocky, Run the Jewels, the Wu-Tang members and everyone on red death are all great and some of the best features gunn has had this decade, it felt like I was listening to the underground avengers and I love it. The beats sound great and have that gritty ... read more
I think the reason this gets hated on so much is cuz its so short, and tbh thats fair, but Big Dump Ballad is one of his most beautiful tracks with no doubt, if we got a whole album like this itd be fire asl
so many quality tracks are lost in this album. Kitchen Lights seems to be the only one that gets praise cuz of just how incredible it is, but tracks like Mamas Primetime, Suicide in Selfridges, FLYGOD 2x, House of Glory, Babylon Bis are top tier gunn songs and should get their flowers, for me the only trap song that works on this is Mamas Primetime, where benny and conways verses are spectacular, but the second gunn comes in it ruins the song. genuinly if the trap songs are taken out this is a ... read more
this album feels like the throwaways for hwh12 and other recent projects (not saying that means its bad), its pretty good, sound is nice, and songs like underground king would fit nice on hwh8B. for gunn when his album is inconsistent it normally has a lot higher highs. good album just below gunn's standards that he has set
