finally listened! as much as i love mercurated and hybrid noisebloom, pulse demon probably takes place as my fav merzbow album right now. 2-5th track run is just too good, bro really locked the fuck in here. kinda loses pace as soon as the longer tracks start, but the longest one was much more tapped down and less dense thankfully, let my ears rest a little.

man i wish the whole album was as lush and beautiful as the first two tracks.
its fine nevertheless, but these two stand out so hard that you just don't really care for the rest :(

HOLY SHIT THIS IS SO GOOD, probably one of their most underrated releases wow
kinda gives winter-like vibe to me, its so cold and weirdly comforting. vaporwave rarely feels as nostalgic to me as this album, now i wanna find some niche 2d explorative rpg game that sounds like this
8th track is literally one of their best. the whole 2nd half is one of my fav runs in their discog tbh

such an overlooked glitch album, its really ear candy while also being accessible. has a lot of filler tho, like a half of the tracklist felt less finished to me than the other. but it doesn't make it less worth listening to. i just percieved as an ambient album and i feel like its better listening that way.

feels like a b-side collection to i'll try living like this, has a lot of similar production choices and samples (first track for example, lots of sounds that were also figurating in itllt). unfortunately was kinda boring at times, makes sense its a nuwrld exclusive

just relistened and loved it, sounded veeery different from what i've heard once it came out. weird but ok

with every minute of this thingy it feels more and more creepy to me.. at first it seemed just like a your regular mallsoft album, maybe a little bland in comparison, but towards the end it started feeling like that sort of strange dream you wake up from and think "what the fuck was that!?". not because this dream had some real horror to it, but mostly because of how your brain generated it; it felt plastic, unnatural, surreal, otherwise liminal.

this album would benefit so hard if you would cut all the filler and make it 25-30 minutes long
otherwise, its just way too bloated

my fav stokes album, its quite literally skipless (except MAYBE you talk way too much but its still a great song)
also wtf is that rating on the way it is..... probably top 3 on the album easily what is happening
