While I do feel it over stays it's welcome, Sir Render is a good album with calm jazz (?) beats and great lyricism. It also has 2 features from the GOATS, ELUCID and Billy Woods of Armand Hammer, and Earl Sweatshirt
I did not expect anything super strong considering its a Vince Staples project, but it's surprisingly good. I really like the rap rock beats on this and the political theme is very fitting considering the state of the world
It's insane how some of the weakest Madlib produced songs are on the same album as some of his most underrated and best, it has some really good songs but most of the track list is mid to decent.
I think what made the original Alfredo great is the consistency it had with its instrumentals but also how short it was in terms of songs, this album feels like it goes for quantity over quality. Don't get me wrong i think there's some great stuff on here but also a few weaker tracks that the original Alfredo wouldn't have
Am i missing something here? most of the songs on this album are long, repetitive, and uninteresting. it would be a good album to fall asleep to. Amazing cover
While it might not be Deathconsciousness it's still a really gloomy and dark album with arguably a darker atmosphere than it's predecessor.
The demos are so uncanny because they are literally regular have a nice life songs but with something missing, which i think fits perfectly with the atmosphere they usually go for and the general vibe of this album
Words can not describe how eerie yet beautiful this album is, lots of people call it sad and depressing but to me it feels like finding inner peace. Amazing album
I really wish they executed the comic style better in this, most of the beats were uninteresting and forgettable. Its definitely not bad but its sure as hell not amazing
This album got a lot better towards the end more specifically in the second half of it, but I do feel like it suffers from repetitive beats sometimes and a lot of the song aren't very memorable
Its inconsistent and its hurts to have dooms name tied to this, I really wish he had more of a role in this
