2Pac - 2Pacalypse Now
NR

Even though Pac dropped a couple of songs in the late 80's like Minnie the Moocher (from the Beginnings: The Lost Tapes album), this is definitely 2Pac's beginning. This album is more politically infused and socially conscious, talking about racism, police brutality, and even teenage pregnancy on the Brenda's Got a Baby joint. It's also one of my favorites, and I'd say it still holds up.

2Pac - Me Against The World
NR

This is a more personal 2Pac album, released when Pac was still in prison. There are a lot of sensitive themes on this one, but it's still a classic.

Gang Starr - Step in the Arena
NR

All I'm gonna say is that I'm glad my Hip Hop journey started with this group. Enough said. R.I.P. G.U.R.U.

Guru - Jazzmatazz Volume 1
NR

Thankfully, my Hip Hop journey started with Gang Starr, one of my favorite groups of all time, so I had to do my research on Guru. When I discovered his Jazzmatazz series, I fell in love with them, especially the jazz samples and the legendary musicians he had featured, from Lonnie Liston Smith to Donald Byrd and even Roy Ayers, to name a few. If you're into Jazz and Classic Hip Hop, you should most definitely give this album a listen.
