Finally relistened to this in full after hearing it first 10+ years ago. It’s always bothered me that its opener/biggest single was the only track that stuck with me, bc on paper this album is everything I love. Technically it’s probably wonderful, but the truth is that most tracks make me feel nothing. Could’ve sworn I heard her say the words “anime eyes,” grabbed my phone and saw that indeed, that’s actually the name of the song… uhh whadda we doin’? Instant skip, then the final song was as boring as most of the others, so technically DNF. But I tried, girl, I really did. That title track was so promising.
