kinda mid. the vocal features are really not that great—abc and chimera were the only solid ones to me. first and last tracks were my favorites.

umm (rubs my eyes) it's good but it's not great. i like the sound, it kind of reminds me of the 90's/00's emo i'd listen to, which gives it comfort points. i think i was expecting more. but to remain positive because it rounded out to an 80 for me somehow: it flows well, julie's vocals are ethereal, and it's easy listening.
the album sticks quite fast and hard to a singular theme but it's a little unbalanced in the layout of the "arc" that matt is expressing. from being lost to recognizing his position and reclaiming hope in the future, it's a time-old journey for albums, but i feel it's a little top-heavy. i really, really enjoyed the first half, the middle was alright, and then it got a little old by the end. still an extremely solid listen. i love matt's work and the ... read more
