I don't know how I found this, but I'm glad I did. Ambient shoegaze drone that doesn't get tiring. Fuzzy guitar that sounds like clouds for one song, and the next may sound like heavy construction equipment. Vocals sound like angelic choir. Sometimes there are pieces that sound "video gamey", such as with some of the shorter interlude tracks, but it does not sound wrong or out of place. Definitely recommend listening to this.

I had to buy all of the CDs this band has, rip them, and scan the art for most of them myself. That's how underground they are. They aren't on any streaming services, and the only way to listen to them currently is through my second YouTube channel "Arghus' Pirate Radio". If you are a fan of TOOL listen up, these guys are related to them in a way not many people know about. Feel free to skip the next paragraph if you don't want the history lesson.

No song has made me laugh as hard as this one. The first time I heard it I couldn't breathe and I was crying

Dope - Life

Yes, this is the Die Motherfucker Die album. The song beloved by edgy anime fans and the US military alike. That song is the only reason why I gave Dope a shot and I'm pretty glad I did as I have listened to every studio album they've put out yet.

I had to edit my review of this because I definitely wrote way too much for it, and I definitely rated it too high for what it's worth (I was sad that it was voted so low by others). This is my favorite Dope album by far and is the best starting ... read more

This is loud and WILL kick your ass. Probably the most surprising part of this is that it's in English (or at least uses English words) . I want to be as insane of a guitarist as Agata someday. I don't even know how he remembers how to play these compositions when they're finished. It's loud, punk, and definitely scares away the bitches if you play it. I think this is the definitive album to get people started with Melt-Banana.

Jean Baudin - Solace

Just under an hour of pure virtuosic talent, criminally unknown to most of the world. A fully instrumental album, played only on an ELEVEN STRING BASS. I highly suggest looking up pictures of this beast, Jean Baudin's "Joust" bass is massive. You could put wheels on it and ride it like a skateboard. Another shocking fact is that this album was recorded with no overdubs or looping (but I wouldn't believe him if he said he didn't use a delay pedal).

The album makes me feel inspired, ... read more

GG Allin - Hated in the Nation

"You want me to kiss your ass! Well bend over buddy here comes my foot!"

This man is simply put one of the most interesting people in rock n roll history. A man who would beat himself up on stage as much as he would throw fists at the audience. If you've seen live videos of GG, you would probably know that fists were not the only thing he would throw at his audience. Of course I'm referring to his own shit. Which he has been recorded eating on stage as well.

The above statement ... read more

"Are you? Are you scared? Are you scared to be forgotten? As you stare into the sun."

This album is perfect in my opinion. Each song is different from the rest. I cannot believe how unknown these guys are, it took a more popular band to cover their song for them to gain any traction online. I can't say that said band didn't introduce me to them though however. That band being TOOL of course, who covered Peach's "Spasm" and "You Lied".

Of course, You Lied is the ... read more

"Been wanting to give MF DOOM another try, I also thought Madvillainy was a bit overrated. The songs on it are good but it isn't the highest achievement in rap/hip-hop for me. Hopefully this album will impress me more"
On budder's review of Sleep - Dopesmoker [Reissue]
"Now that's a badass take on Dopesmoker if I ever heard it. Spoken like a true Weedian proceeding to Nazareth with less than an ounce left in the suit. Not that I smoke weed, but that's just the Dopesmoker lore. Excellent review and I'm glad you liked it"

"Couldn't have said it better myself. The art is kind of cool but it's by no means any of the best albums of all time."
On Melt-Banana - Cell-Scape
"Ooh that's a really good question, as Fetch is one of the band's better works aswell. I thought that Cell-Scape left a better impression on me even though I heard Candy Gun off Fetch first. Cell-Scape features bass by their original bassist Rika, who did not appear on Fetch. I have a feeling that no matter which of those two you choose you'll enjoy it, as the band is kind of like if breakcore was noisy punk rock! My bet would go to Cell-Scape though for having more memorable tracks and an actual bassist (who is good). Let me know what you go with and what you thought"

"I feel like you're only rating it low to be different. Very contrarian post. Moonchild's improv is weak for sure but the album gets a 45? Painfully mediocre?"
