Hoenig · Göttsching - Early Water
100

This is seriously amazing.
I recommend it to all of humanity.

Moondog - Moondog 2
100

This is a wonderful album of duets by Louis Hardin, also known as Moondog, and his daughter, June Hardin.

Oval - Ovalcommers
100

If the Ovalprocess is about the individuality of the sound, then this Ovalcommers emphasizes the harmony of the noise.
It feels like the individual sounds mix together and that's what gives it its individuality.
I've listened to this one dozens of times now, and it's finally starting to sound pleasant to me.

Oval - Ovalprocess
100

I finally get it lol.
I've listened to it dozens of times.
The point is that each individual sound has a strong personality.
Unless you think the sound is good, it's unbearable to listen to.
It's only now that I can finally hear it comfortably.

Kano Oki - Tonkori
100

This is irresistible.
An album made entirely of Tonkori.
It feels so good, it's unbelievable.
It puts you in a dreamlike state.
So far, this is the best CD I've bought this year.
I highly recommend it.

Marcos Valle - Túnel Acústico
71

I think it's several times better than the previous work. Above all, it's hard to believe that it's an 80-year-old voice. Brazil is a great musical Paradise with cool 80-year-olds like Marcos Valle, Caetano Veloso and Tom Zé still actively making music.

João Donato - Quem É Quem
100

I love this album so much that I've been listening to it over and over again since I bought it. It makes sense that Marcos Valle is involved. Joao Donato's weak vocals will take you to the other side.

Tom Zé - Estudando a Bossa
95

To commemorate Bossa Nova's 50th anniversary, Tom Zé has finally given Bossa Nova a magical makeover.
This is Tom Zé's style of Bossa Nova! Everyone will applaud the strange Bossa Nova.

For nearly half of the songs, female singers are invited to perform duets. However, this is Bossa Nova based on the original interpretation of an eccentric eccentric who was over 70 years old at the time and was showing off his insane creative desire and super individuality, so the songs ... read more

Tom Zé - Estudando o Pagode
95

I would like to introduce one more CD from my Tom Zé's CD collection.
This summer, I had many opportunities to alternately listen to Jogos De Armar and this album.(The other one is Estudando a Bossa)
This album also gives a glimpse of Tom Zé's unique worldview. This album includes songs that are not typical of Tom Zé, such as duets with full-fledged female singers. However, Tom Zé will liven things up with his own crazy and atmosphere-destroying ... read more

Tom Zé - Jogos de Armar: Faça Você Mesmo
100

The artist I listened to a lot this summer was Tom Zé, and my favorite Tom Zé is from the 2000s.
This album was released in 2000, so he was 64 years old at the time. Truly otherworldly.
If you listen to it, you'll understand that this album is quite amazing, even amazing.
This Jogos De Armar is the first or second best Tom Zé's CD that I own.
Tropicalia Monster Tom Zé is running wild in this album.
Combining his beautiful voice, homemade instruments, ... read more

The Dreams - Morbido
79

I don't know what era the statue was created in, but I think there are many people who are scared of the cover art of the statue, which is quite disgusting. And for those who listened to this work because they wanted to see something scary, their heads are probably confused by the shamanistic sounds full of curses. Well, you could say it's a band like Slits or Shonen Knife, but it's a band with mysterious rhythms and bad voice girl vocals, and it's 2011. It's a gross ... read more

Love Cry Want - Love Cry Want
100

The only live work by Love Cry Want, a unique improvisational group. This work was released on CD in 1997 and on vinyl in 2010. At that time, it seems that it was only released through the label's mail order, so it is an album that few people in the know had heard of in 1997, when online sales were not as popular as they are now. Then in 2023, it was reissued only on vinyl. There were no CD sales.

Although this work is not well-known, the members include organ revolutionary Larry Young, ... read more

Debris' - Static Disposal
79

How did it end up like this? Extreme clumsiness psychedelic spacey punk music! I don't think I can find this kind of sound very often. Miracle of 1976. It's up to you whether you like it or not. The original vinyl costs 70,000 yen in Japan. There's no way I would buy it.

2024.9.10
I bought the CD!😆

The Boats - Tomorrow Time
100

This is the third album by The Boats, consisting of Craig Tattersall and Andrew Hargreaves.

Heart-warming glitch pop electronica with delicate microbeats and the pleasant buzz of glitches, faintly drifting synths and electronics. An encounter between lyrical and beautiful live sounds and electronic sounds, gently blending with nostalgic folky sounds.

Throughout this album, surrounded by a world of gentle sounds, it will feel a sense of euphoria. I think this music is suitable for people who ... read more

Traffic Sound - Virgin
90

The second album from 1970 by traffic sound, the South American Peruvian psychedelic music band.
Personally, I think they are one of the two biggest psychedelic bands from Peru in South America (the other being Telegraph Avenue).
Clearly influenced by the British Invasion, their sound is similar atmosphere to Brazil's Os Mutantes. However, due to the national character of Peru, there are elements of folklore that continue to flow from the Incas/Andes, a sense of mystery, and an ... read more

Tom Newman - Faerie Symphony
80

The 2nd album released in 1977 by a British multi-artist Tom Newman, who started his career with the psychedelic rock group JULY and who has demonstrated his versatility in everything from artist activities to engineering, including working on Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells".
The content is a fantastic work that makes full use of overdubbing, and is a pleasant album of trad and folk numbers, including Irish songs. The sound is delicately woven and has a strong healing tone. And, ... read more

Joe Byrd And The Field Hippies - The American Metaphysical Circus
70

A 1969 work by Joe Byrd, founder and leader of the famous experimental/electro-psychedelic band The United States Of America.
Although electronic instruments are used in this work too, most of them are concentrated in Part One. This album is divided into four parts, and the content is very subtle. I like the first four songs, but honestly I can't listen to all of the latter songs.
However, the first two songs in particular are amazing, so this songs is ... read more

Subway(1971) - Subway
100

Even among Psychedelic and Acid Folk enthusiasts, this is an extremely rare item that was recorded in England in 1971, but only 200 copies were sold in France.
Acid Folk duo by American SSW Irv Mowrey and British violinist Malcolm Watson. The performance is basically overdubbed by the duo, but depending on the song, a rhythm section may be added. All songs are original songs penned by Irv Mowrey. Irv Mowrey's singing voice, which is sung from beyond the underworld, has a fleeting feel that ... read more

On Klaus Schulze - Irrlicht
"You're absolutely right. This sound, this music, and this album, is an astonishing creation, born from the perfect alignment of all the gears of this time, this period, and this person. Each time I listen, the soundscape changes, and the sonic memories in my brain are rewritten. In my case, I own this album on CD, and it's still one of my favorite albums to listen to. This sound is truly extraordinary."
