Tyler, The Creator is the Vylet Pony of hip hop I will not be explaining myself
This isn't as bad as I remember it being. It has some rly nice songs, but the songs with hardstyle influences bring this down a lot for me. I could see myself enjoying some of the songs on here separately but idk if I'd come back to this again.
Listened to this a lot more since I first reviewed it, and I've finally decided this deserves a 100. Every track just feels so colorful and vibrant and it hits like everything I enjoy in rap. Easily the most memorable rap album I've listened to, and just a really good album in general. Take Your Mask Off and Hey Jane never fail to amaze me.
This was an absolute joy to listen to. The serenity and gentleness of a lot of the tracks does a very good job of making the more powerful moments shine through. Nothing overstays its welcome and the message behind the album is also beautifully conveyed despite the sparse lyrics. My Post-Rock arc is going quite well lol, 2/2 100s.
This album left me speechless, I could not possibly say anything about it that would not be better felt through listening. Best lyrical content I've heard in my life
This is really good but I can't see myself rly coming back to it. The production is ridiculous tho like how do you make it sound that smooth
One of the first rap albums I listened to and coming back to it has made me appreciate it a lot more. The flow is honestly unmatched.
Comfort album for me, easy listening at basically any time. It's rly easy to reccomend imo due to short length and generally laid-back vibe.
This is the most emotionally honest album I've ever heard, have genuinely cried to a couple songs. The production hits that sweet spot of leaving just enough space within the music to let the vocals thrive along with it. Probably my go-to album when I want to brood about existing.
I've been obsessed with this album ever since I first heard it and honestly it's probably one of my favourite albums of all time. I love how grimy it sounds and it has some of the best melodies I've ever heard consistently throughout the whole thing. Absolutely a joy, would reccomend to absolutely anyone.
This seems criminally underrated honestly. The sound is rly unique and stands on its own compared to other rap I've listened to and the production sounds insanely clean.
