What a year so far! Skrillex has returned to head-bang-worthy dubstep and Ed Sheeran has returned to glimmering, bright arena pop. This song has the potential to be the ear worm of the approaching summer months. A catchy melody and easily memorable lyrics will ensure this song's place towards the top of the charts and playing across radio stations all over the world.
As colorful as the artwork that accompanies it, Zedd has managed to create a listening experience that satisfies a lot of itches for a variety of listeners. "Out of Time" and "Tangerine Rays" envelope listeners in a blanket of melodic synths and baselines that will have you bopping your head back and forth. Whether or not Skrillex's goal to change the way we consume music is unclear, what is clear, however, is that he seems to know what his fans want and when to give it to them. Whether you want to call it an album or a mixtape, this project is among Skrillex's best for me.
