i've listened to it 3 times... its a way bit *raw*, but this band have a great potential in this path.... 81 is my rating
a very intriguing disc, the name of album and the artcover are very linked to the sound
hear my words: the drummer of this album, '''Morgan Agren''' is the real inventor of DJENT in this planet
i predict an album similar to City Burials, but someway different, because of departure of Blakkheim, one of the pillars of the band :-(
a very special and intense album...just listen for yourself, alone, in the night, without distractions, and with good headphones please
For me this is the masterpiece from Ihsahn. I listened to it a billion times when released in 2010 and listen frequently until today. With the stellars Asgeir Mickelson on drums, and Lars Norberg on bass, and a very present sax of Jurgen Munkeby....
Love all the songs
("On the Shores" is one of the most epic metal track ever recorded)
at first listen, doesn't sound so good as previous albums, but a decent work anyway. the mix and producing seems very poor, compared to others
someway disappointing
first rating: 83 ...still in analysis, maybe i will lower this
