Can't believe this was released in 1983.
Only one year after Cocteau Twins released 'Garlands,' they released this evolutionary masterpiece. The wall of noise on this album is amazing, completely revolutionary for 1983.
'Sugar Hiccup' is a beautiful dreamy song. 'In Our Angelhood' is such a great pummelling song, probably the most fast paced track the band has ever produced.

Crispy 808 snares, what more could you want.
This album is so fucking underrated. Such a great beginning to such a great band. Love the dark and gothy elements, the album can really get quite dark at times as shown in tracks like 'Shallow Then Halo' and 'Grail Overfloweth'. Liz's voice is amazing as usual, a voice like a siren's call.
I can see why it may not be so popular due to it's post punk vibe already being established for some years.
