I’ve been meaning to listen to this album for a hot minute but wow, I really felt it in my bones. For a more recent band, it’s got a classic Midwestern Emo sound all across the album. It’s really good stuff, even though it’s not particularly unique. Really painful and personal, definitely makes you feel some type of way if you’ve had any bad love stories lmao. IMO the best album Heart Attack Man has released. Great pop-punk sound, great guitar, great vocals, just a good well-rounded and powerful record. The entire album has such tangible emotion that feels very personal. Gets a little weak near the end but is brought back up with The Choking ... read more

Absolutely solid debut album with a perfect opening track to set the mood. When I saw these guys live I remember the lead singer saying this album he wrote as a depressed guy in his early 20s shouldn’t be anyone’s favorite by them and that they have way better music, which is true LOL. That doesn’t make this album bad, but it’s admittedly grating to listen to close to the end; Cut Off At The Knees and Taking Sides were two of the album’s weakest songs IMO, just ... read more
