Lorde - Pure Heroine

Albums I treated too harshly #1
60 -> 84

I decided to listen to this album again because of Lorde's new song, and I was definitely wrong. I've been amazed by the talent and effort she's put into it, right from the start. Pure Heroine is the result of that, which not only made it one of the most beloved albums of her career, but also one that defined a generation, at just 16. Simply incredible.

Highlights: Ribs, Buzzcut Season, Team, A World Alone, White Teeth Teens

Self Esteem - A Complicated Woman

A Complicated, Boring and Unnecessarily "Long" Record

At just 45 minutes, Self Esteem's latest LP feels so dull and uninspiring that it stretches that fairly brief period into an eternity, where the desire for it to stop becomes a necessity. But it's not so bad; I enjoyed the soul-inspired songs quite a bit, especially the musical landscapes she creates with her somewhat theatrical voice and decent production. However, the album is not that good either, the album is far ... read more

Kali Uchis - ILYSMIH

I Love You So Much It Hurts is a good song, that's all

Tennis - Face Down In The Garden
83

Y'all I discovered them yesterday and they are retiring LMAO πŸ’”πŸ˜

Tennis has been one of those bands that caught my eye the instant I've heard of them. Their unusual name and exquisite but familiar sounding landscape made their music feel both unusual and dreamy for the best and kind of repetitive for the worst. And now, with a mature sound, they say goodbye releasing one of their best works of art, not with tears, but with love.

On gabe_e's review of Taylor Swift - folklore
"totally agree on this one, the things that caught my eye and made me a swftie long time ago (just five years ago xd) were actually her ability to write songs with passion and love with a romantic but melancholic and sad feeling that's why I loved Evermore. Folklore to me felt like evermore but watered down, there were some good tracks but, unlike evermore, folklore was not really as consistent during the tracklist, also, I'm not sure if you also listened to the lakes (the deluxe track)."
