This album hits you hard with a noise rock level of intensity and a deep sense of yearning through its whole runtime, Precious is the clear standout to me as it does what this album does best, a slow build to near crushing emotion and soaring performance. The drums here stand as a clear highlight, I am a drummer and I am biased but the drums here are some of my favorites ever put to recording.
This album is the most stunning, hideous and intriguing album I’ve ever listened to and I’ve listened to it a LOT, songs like Cursor remain in my rotation and the album itself has never particularly fallen out of listening for me. This project has followed me and almost been a road map as I’ve gone through some of my darkest moments.
Travis is at his best vocally as he shows he has range and can perform over cartoon sound effects and rockin electric guitars.
