I’ve only listened to one Bruno album before (Unorthodox Jukebox) which was carried by this singles. The Romantic isn’t bad, thought that the tracks were a lot more well rounded. Pretty good but there’s nothing too special about it.

Fav song right now is still probably “I just might” (Honestly didn’t like the song too much at first but It’s kinda grown on me).

Honestly I was hoping to hear more from Tony but unfortunately I didn’t get that. I still thought it was good but I didn’t think this song was more than good, just wasn’t Gr-r-reat.

In my opinion, a lot of Concave sounds pretty similar, but I think thats what I love about it.

Asides from the Billie and Ethel Cain similarity’s brought up, to me on a track like “Far Away” there is also an Clairo-esque sound there. Despite the more melancholy sound and meaning behind tracks like “How To” or “Retainer”, I honestly find them to be the most calming off of the project.

Discovered Ken Pomeroy when she and Dakota McDaniel opened for Madison Cunningham on her Aces tour they were really good! Really beautiful melancholy project with some great vocals.

(Btw: Shout out to Ken and Dakota, got to briefly talk to them after their show and they were super nice.)

Ts finally dropped and it honestly it was (for the most part) worth the wait! Up till now I hadn’t really listened to much of his stuff outside of some features and a few songs. Overall it was pretty solid album, probably gonna go back and re-listen to this in a few days and then add more to my review (if I remember).

While I loved it, I definitely Wasn’t expecting the sample of Sinking (Such an underrated song btw) on DON’T BE DUMB / TRIP BABY.

Thought I’d end the year off on a good note with one of the Mag Bay singles I haven’t listened to yet. Unsurprisingly, Just like their other songs this one is amazing too.

Really good album, just wish I understood more of the lyrics

This was pretty much my introduction to gorillaz. This album kickstarted a 2 month phase during Covid where I would pretty much exclusively listen to the band; finding new songs and spending an unhealthy amount of time staying up and learning about their lore.

Idk why, but I Ended up scrolling through new releases at 2am and thought it would be fun to check out some new projects/artists.

To keep my review brief,
Thought it was a pretty short and fun project! While I thought all the tracks were pretty good, my favourite was probably ‘Water’. Definitely a promising debut from Julesy; pretty excited to see where Julesy and Julien go from here in the future!

Really like that one song she sings, It goes like:
Dudu-Dudu-dudu-dudu,
Dudu-Dudu-dudu-dudu

The only scary thing about this Halloween is how good these two Magdalena Bay songs are!
I really like this sound but definitely wasn’t expecting this vibe considering the past few singles.
While they’re not as good as the past few releases, I still think both songs are pretty strong.:

I agree that it’s just not as good if you compare it to some of Kevin’s previous works.
I’ll give it a 61 for now; however, I do feel like some of these songs will grow on me as time goes on.
