When I was a teenager I sadly neglected listening to this album because of the pop sound of it. Eventually I got over this and found this to be a very mature sound for the band and really enjoyed it. One song I think in particular highlights this is Last Hope where Hayley recites "It's not that I don't feel the pain it's just I'm not afraid of hurting anymore." While this album certainly is a new direction for the group in their discography I don't find that to be at all a bad thing and highly recommend a listen.
