misunderstood

Man oh man did I want to love this thing!

This project has so many good things going for it and on the complete other side has other choices that feel very middle of the road or down right corny. Production wise this project is a mixed bag of traditional pop, dance pop, and some experimental EDM almost bordering HyPeRpOp. I find this project stands out the most when it is in that more experimental bag with the prior instrumentals really just sounding flat and boring. Vocally, I really like when the singer is using their relaxed voice as it comes off nice and clean with their more strained vocal coming off very corny and insincere. The last point I would like to touch on is the tracks las fallas and magnificent. These tracks to me come off very out of place on the record with the latter having a German artist featuring on the verses and chorus which is like cool... but it makes me feel like I'm listening to a playlist and not an album. Idk maybe that one is just me. Cool stuff at times but bogged down by a lot of rather mediocre material.
