A reluctant Blink’s opinion on:
JENNIE’s “Ruby”
JENNIE has, for me at least, always been the most unremarkable of the members of Blackpink despite so much screen time and hype centred around her
To me… she was just… there
But with Ruby, she showed what she was made of:
And it’s a whole lot of greatness
I think this is undoubtedly the best album of the Blackpink group, as a solo performer or as a group
It has so much good songs on it and the production is (unsurprisingly) incredible
Although I do feel the main focus was on the first couple of songs, as the last few tracks felt like afterthought filler (still decent, just unremarkable to me)
Honestly I have no clue why she came back to do a Blackpink comeback, because she just hit her career peak with this album and showing off her potential like no Blackpink song ever did.
