I scored this low, because Kurt Vile can do better. My guess is as he finished this up. He thought the same thing. I can't wait for his next album.
This was one of the better mixes of the year. It almost felt like it had some Korean pop influence throughout. Solipsist was a star and so was moongee.I suggest giving this a listen.
From the get go with The Weekend you realize you have something special. By time you hear the growl of Short Haired Woman Blues, the Repetitive nagging of Candy and the Sultry Pilgrim, You're ready to restart the Album and give it another listen.
Listen, If you like Everclear this one is a safe bet. No song stands out independently, but this band doesn't need any of them too. They have brought songs that mixed into American culture in the past and at this point they're content just producing quality sounding music that can fill out the B side of any soundtrack out there. Not one of these songs is a bad song. If played on the airwaves no one would reach down and turn the station. It's a Growling guitar fest fueled by the sound that is ... read more
This sounded like there was music playing in the background while my Wifes Cunt friend was yelling and bitching about her boyfriend and why she doesn't understand why he insists on washing his clothes with Anti-Irritant Soap. Fantastic metal album. If you are looking for a consistent sound mixed with some good licks this one is sure bet.
Passion Pit is always a smooth listen, but from their catalog this one is the one you skip. From start to finish they deliver a mediocre album, which may be the point if you judge a book by its cover.
I don't know what he is trying to do. I was left with a small respect for what he was doing, but zero idea of what that actually was.
No quite as good as his last attempt, but one of the best musicians that the genre has to offer.
Yoakam continues to carve his own path through Rockabilly country Music, with respectful call outs to those of the past. The music oozes a cool that the more popular country artists couldn't pull out of their light beer and cheap Tequila soaked wife beaters. This is What Country music should be.
you know. When I started it I thought I was going to hate, but the more it went on I could hear some of my favorite bands coming through. The Cure, Talking Heads, The Smiths all of their sounds are an influence here and if they aren't, well its what I got out of it.
