Okay fine I will concede this actually pretty hard. Who was doing the verse starting at like 30 seconds in?? Also the beat is great
Skrillex has been trying out a lot of new ideas and styles recently, and I think he really found something special here. The sound design and grooves are totally otherwordly, you really gotta move to this for the full experience. I'd say this is more "subtle" than his brostep stuff, but it really isn't lol. It's less gritty but just as loud and in-your-face ever, just doing it in a different way.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! One of those projects that I cannot fathom how little attention it has gotten. The production here is just transcendent-- the comparison that immediately comes to mind for me is SOPHIE, though it's unique enough that I wouldn't call it derivative. And it feels amazing to dance to, I go feral when the first two songs come on.
I'm one of those "I like every genre except metal!" people but this might've actually managed to sway me.
This is one of the only times an album has made me laugh out loud while I had it playing in the background. I LOVE how the lyrics are written here, and they're made all the better by the way the dude sings them. The music itself is lovely too-- well produced with a tone of energy that manages to feel distinct between every song. And some of these melodies are way better than they have any right to be (Next to Me is absolutely anthemic for some reason).
I don't even like most of Bladee's music but the way he says words is awesome. He should release a spoken word album or an audiobook or something I think I would give it a 100.
Does Peggy have the same flow on every song? Yes, and I just pretend he is like a hi-hat or something.
As someone who loves weird bass music, I thought the dubstep influence in a lot of the production here was awesome. The sampling is also great, especially on tracks like War Over Land. I'd say that this is definitely worthwhile to check out, though don't expect Peggy to be saying anything intelligent over these beats.
I used to not like frost children because when I listened to them for the first time I had a really bad tummy ache but now I see the vision!!!!!!
Definitely amateurish but surprisingly coherent. I like how the song evolves over its runtime and doesn't get repetitive, except for the intro which I felt was a bit unnecessary for taking up the length it does. The vocal melodies are good and feel natural over the instrumental-- I thought they were quite good besides some awkward delivery at moments!
Not really my style, though I grooved with it a bit more in the second half.

This is so disgusting. Totally non-musical formless sludge with stupid lyrics and stupid sound effects and "loud = funny" production. I think I will listen to this a lot!
This album has such a haunting and enchanting atmosphere, which I think is its greatest strength. The singer has a great voice and unique vocal tone which is really brought out by the production. And speaking of the production, it's lovely: sparse but full of interesting noise textures that shyly peek through the mix until they come in fully during the bigger moments. I will admit that there are stretches of this album that are less interesting than others, and that holds it back for me, ... read more
The album cover made me think this was gonna be a shitpost, but this is actually a very interesting experimental folk album. There's a heavy influence from bluegrass and it takes the genre to adventurous (or maybe better put, unhinged) places. I haven't heard anything like it, and it's one of those projects that I was able to thoroughly enjoy on my first listen and will probably grow on me. The later tracks even breach metal and industrial hip-hop (?). It's wild.
He was doing basically this same thing on the last album and people were eating that up, I dont get yall
Edward Skeletrix's music never fails to put a smile on my face and vomit in my lap
As someone with no prior knowledge of this band and just checked it out on a whim, THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME! The production is so heavy but also just plain fun, and even the melodic aspects are shockingly good on tracks like 200 Bottles On Eviction and Shoplifting!
