I thought he was kinda cooking at first, but man did it fall off. This feels like a bloated, watered down version of ye, Yeezus, and The College Dropout combined, except it's like in a video game where you mix the wrong ingredients and get inedible food. Still better than Jesus is King, but definitely takes the cake for being the most mid Kanye album. No strong emotions were evoked while listening to this, except for during Last Breath. What are we doing here. What even was that.
This shit went so hard when I was 12. Still, there aren't any songs that suck, and the vocals and piano are always on point. Points for nostalgia I guess.
The fact that the album sounds this cohesive while pretty much all of the samples have an intention behind them is crazy. This must have taken like their entire life up until this point come out with this.
Second best transition on this album is at the end of Live Laugh Love.
I'm including Good Night and Bittersweet Poetry in my scoring (80 and 95 respectively)
