I won’t lie I kinda didn’t love this on first listen. I think mostly bc it was so not what I was expecting. However it immediately became better on second listen and has since kept getting better. It’s definitely not my favorite Gaga and my controversial opinion is I think Chromatica and Joanne are better, but this is still an incredible album and I love how much she experimented with her sound on it. i tried with her last album but couldn’t really get into it, but it’s okay i’m okay caught my attention last year so i decided to listen to this when it came out and im glad i did! this is such a fun album to listen to. sports car is soty already! also i feel like i’m the only person who likes the cover lol
I can appreciate what Ethel is doing and I respect the hell out of her. This is not really my type of music at all, but I’ve played this in the background over the past couple of weeks and I’ve come to enjoy it for the most part. But it’s never music I could just listen to to listen to. If she decides to go back to a Preacher’s Daughter sound, I would be happy though bc that is one of my favorite albums of all time.

when i first listened to this i decided it was going to be sza’s third album, however it really doesn’t feel like its own project so i get it. despite not feeling like a cohesive project, the songs are all still very good. but you can tell that most of them were cut for a reason.
