Shoe-shoe-shoegaze
Perhaps the most experimental shoegaze record I've ever heard, and it does it very well. At times it sounds ethereal, psychedelic, energetic... It's a very interesting variation that makes the listening experience very dynamic and balanced. It's much more of an album that mixes various rhythms and instruments than just a common shoegaze album, as many are and some have even become generic these days. This is a really fun album to listen to and one that might surprise you if you're not expecting too much. I'm going to listen to Lush's other few albums soon; they really do seem like a remarkable band in this world.
